Benefits

Thermal Insulation

Mosses help to insulate a building, keeping the property warm and decreasing cost of heat. In the summer. mosses make building cooler and reduce the cost of air conditioning.

Noise Mitigation

Living moss walls act as extra insulation with a layer of air between the plants and the wall. They also reduce noise levels by reflecting, refracting as well as absorbing acoustic energy.

Decreased Air Pollution

Mosses metabolize harmful toxins while releasing oxygen into the city air, much like city trees but on much larger scale.

Ambient cooling

Our moss wall absorbs sunlight. More accurately, 50% is absorbed and 30% reflected. This helps to create a cooler and more pleasant climate during summer time.

Urban Greening

Spending time around plants improves our health, well-being and productivity. it is also demonstrated that small scale greenery has a positive effect on social cohesion in neighborhoods. To this regard, areas with more greenery suffer less hinder from aggression, violence, and vandalism.

Increased Biodiversity

Our moss wall benefits biodiversity, increasing species population and offering routes through otherwise inhospitable urban areas.

Existing Wall

Existing wall does not require any structural changes and physical properties remain intact. Our facade can be installed on almost any type of wall, with doors and windows.

Smart Irrigation System

Irrigation system ensures the optimal habitat for our moss. Pumps and control system are located either next to the wall or on the roof of the building, in a small engineering unit.

Secondary Structure

Secondary structure serves as a protective layer between the moss tiles and existing wall of the building. It consist of waterproof layer therefore protecting building from rain or evaporation

Recycled Concrete Tiles

Our  tiles are made of recycled low-dense concrete, to keep the weight down. At the same time they are providing great conditions for mosses to grow and survive the summer heat or freezing temperatures in the winter.

Structural Matrix

Structural support made of recycled metal serves as a base for our tiles. It also accommodates  the smart irrigation system protecting it from the public and outside forces.

Modified Moss

Moss tiles act as pixels of the image. When desirable to change the pattern displayed on the facade, we simply replace and reorder the pixels. Our mosses are cultivated in 17 different colors so there is plenty to chose from.
